carnation from student

This red carnation was given to me by a student when she came back to school to collect her A Level Results on 2 March. It is still sitting prettily on my dining table one week on.

The 2014 batch of students held a very special place in my heart. I taught a number of them when they were in Year 3, and then again when they were in Year 6. I had watched them grow, from mischievous young teens playing childish pranks at one another to fine young men and women.

No words could describe the feeling I had when they came back to collect their results, when they gather around me to thank me. I am so so so very proud of them, just like a mother would of her child.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish them all the best.
